--Hola a todos--
I thought I would share with you some other smaller-scale things that I've done and seen recently.
This is La Sebastiana, the house of Pablo Neruda in Valparaiso. In 2 weekends, we have a group excursion to his third home and burial site, La Isla Negra. I hear beautiful things about this place, it is right on the ocean. However, La Sebastiana will always be my favorite because I live so close to it! [Above is the view from the top level of this house, there are 5 stories]
A colorful corner in Valpo, and a painter working away.
This is a palace in Vina, called the Quinta Vergara. Vergara was the 'founder' of Vina, many years ago and this was his home. The gardens surrounding the palace are lucious!
Also, it was Erika's birthday a couple weeks ago. I gave her the flowers that you see on the table. She just loved them and each day commented on how they brightened up the room! And guess how much they cost me... $6 USD. Not too shabby for this beautiful boquet.
One new update-- I have decided to go to Santiago this weekend! A few girls and I are going down Friday afternoon and returning Sunday morning. It will be quick, but I am glad that I can go back to see more of the massive city! Since my dad will be spending the first days of his trip in Santiago and I will likely be finishing up my final papers/tests and packing up in Vina, this is my last chance to see the city.
I can't believe I'm saying words like 'last chance'! It makes my heart hurt.
